Absolutely beautiful tone
There are a lot of bells for less money. Most of them will work. But this one is worth paying a bit more for. It has no plastic bits. It's a timeless design. It's loud, clear, and has a long sustain. This bell won't give a clink, or donk. It's a bell that cuts through the air and grabs attention.
Additionally, the clamp doesn't require you to remove your grips to slide it on. As long as you have an open stretch of tube on your handlebars, you should be able to get it on. You might want to put a bit of rubber something similar between the clamp and your chrome or paint to keep it from scratching the finish if you move it around--not that that's likely to come up until you get a new bike to transfer it to.

Great Sound with a few quirks
I bought this bell after hearing one on a group bike ride in the Portland metro area. Installation was pretty simple, but balancing the clamp and getting the screws threaded was a little tricky. Also, the bell has some dead notes, depending on how the trigger is actuated. Thus, when in alert mode, I am not always able to finesse the trigger "just so". It's a little annoying, but I'm betting muscle memory will take over eventually.
The bell works great when riding along multi-use paths (the sound carries around blind corners well), and works for the most part to alert drivers. It's not as effective as I had hoped with drivers cutting in front or trying to turn from a perpendicular street, but I've come to accept that if a driver doesn't associate the sound with a bike, they're going to keep on driving like they do. I've adapted my routes to help alleviate car interactions.
Anyway, it's a cool bell. Love the copper coloring, and glad I bought it!
